Culturally-Informed Therapy for Professionals and Couples in Dallas, Texas
bell hooks once said, “Critically intervene in a way that challenges and changes.” This idea captures the heart of how I understand healing and growth. I approach therapy with intention, attentiveness, and a commitment to meaningful change.
As a cisgender, Chicana, and Black therapist, I provide virtual therapy for professionals and couples who are BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and those who are members of marginalized communities (i.e. LGBTQ). Our work primarily revolves around navigating complex relational patterns, identity concerns, and emotional distress related to today’s cultural and societal climate. I engage with clients in thoughtful, collaborative work aimed at lasting change.
If you’re interested in working together, I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.

WHO I WORK WITH
BIPOC Professionals
I specialize in culturally-informed therapy for BIPOC professionals, including Black professionals and Latinx/Hispanic professionals navigating demanding careers, leadership roles, and identity-based stress. My approach centers the intersection of culture, race, and professional life—especially for high-achieving and first-generation professionals seeking care that understands the full context of their lives.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Intentional Care
Therapy should feel purposeful, not overwhelming. I structure sessions thoughtfully, focusing on what matters most while still allowing room for depth and reflection.
Consistency and Trust
Consistency creates safety. I show up prepared, engaged, and committed to the work we’re doing together, providing a steady foundation for meaningful change.
Clarity in the Process
You deserve to understand how therapy works and what we’re working toward. I prioritize open communication around goals, expectations, and progress throughout our work.

3 Simple Steps to Connect

Schedule a Consultation
Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re not sure where to begin. I offer a free 15-minute video consultation as a low-pressure way to connect, ask questions, and share what’s bringing you here. There’s no expectation to have everything figured out; this is simply a starting point.

Meet via Video
All sessions are held virtually through Simple Practice. Once your consultation is scheduled, I’ll confirm our meeting and we’ll use that time to talk through your concerns, goals, and what you’re hoping for from therapy. We’ll also make sure this feels like a good fit before moving forward.
Alternatively, if you feel ready to schedule your first therapy session, you may also do so. Please reach out with any questions about session fees.
Begin the work, at your pace
Therapy is a process, and it doesn’t require perfection or constant certainty. Some sessions may feel easier than others, and that’s okay. We’ll work thoughtfully and collaboratively, moving at a pace that feels sustainable, with the goal of creating meaningful and lasting change.
WHY PEOPLE MEET WITH ME FOR THERAPY
Struggling with this
Have you worked hard to earn “a seat at the table” in your career, yet you still find yourself questioning whether you truly belong?
Do you experience conflicting feelings about your family? Wonder how to effectively set boundaries with them in a way that still feels loving?
Did you and your partner once communicate with ease, only to find that something has shifted and the connection feels harder to reach? There may be frequent misunderstandings, unresolved tension, or a growing sense of distance — even though both of you are trying.
Feel like this
You may notice increased irritability, mental and emotional fatigue, or a sense that you’re running on empty. Self-care can start to feel like another task rather than a source of relief. Over time, resentment may quietly build – toward a partner, your work, or toward family expectations.
Seeking this
If you’re looking for a place where you can step out of survival mode and breathe, you’re welcome here. Therapy with me offers a judgment-free environment that acknowledges the real challenges of showing up authentically (across your identities) in systems that don’t always make room for them. If you’re seeking clarity, steadiness, and meaningful change, this may be a good place to begin.
